• Participate in pre-offer scoping, costing and preparation of tender responses and request for information• Design and Develop – 3D CAD models and drawings for proposed machinery using weldments in Solidworks for major planned upgrades within the plant. Converting 2D drawings to 3D models, coordinating with materials management to ensure to items are within deadlines and budget constraints. Creating viable designs using DFA/DFM standards.• Liase, coordinate and negotiate – Designs for manufacture with internal and external resources, develop Bill of material drawings to be sent to manufacturers. • Documentation – to manage and track current changes within components, to manage future revisions to ensure transfer of knowledge. Produce and maintain “as-built” documentation.• Quality assurance – Ensure that installations are robust and of a high standard, in accordance with documentation and contracted Quality Installations Standards.• Reporting – to members of the engineering team and supervisors to develop tender documents, costing plans for outsourced documents.

Creating repeatable models of a set of teeth for impact testing experiments to determine the energy absorption rates of various types of consumer mouthguards and compare results. During this project my responsibilities included:- Creating a viable 3D scan of supplied teeth moulds-Model manipulation of above mentioned 3D scan using industry standard techniques and programs - Creating a testing procedure for mouthguard comparison tests

• Managing – a group of 10+ engineers through a 6mth design phase to develop the dynamic conditions of a solar electric vehicle (EV) to compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge and American Solar Challenge. Oversee the testing methodology and results of all FEA simulations within ANSYS to develop components.• Design and Develop - Viable suspension components from concepts through to manufacture to be used on the 2017 race vehicle using both Solidworks and ANSYS to CAD and simulate components to solve both Linear and Non-Linear models for metallic and composite components. • Documentation - Developed Engineering drawings for manufacture utilizing GD&T for suspension components, Contribute to higher management operations for Tender and Pre-Tender documents. • Liase – with external manufacturers to develop a manufacturing timeline, expectations and deliverables. Conduct quality control measures for both composite structures and CNC machined components delivered for assemblies.

In charge of updating plant Process and instrumentation Diagram to update the stock prep area to improve outdated diagram. Also obtained valuable data on working towards engineering standards, on top of that gained valuable skills to understand plant performance tactics to help ensure the productivity of the plant. Another important area within the plant was understanding vibration analysis and machine monitoring. Also helped engineers transfer data between offices as another method to increase productivity.
