During 2020 I was been traveling around Europe and living in southern Spain in my self-converted camper van. After 15 or so years in finance, I was thinking about what to do next. As most of you know my big passion has always been AI and I really thought that that would be my next career move. However, I also love learning new things... While converting my camper van, I learned about a very necessary but unsexy subject - waterless composting toilets. Yes, you read that right. They’re great if you want to stay off grid in your van and it turns out they have potential to be a good sanitation solution in lots of other applications. 15% of the world population doesn’t have access to a toilet at all.I started to look into how they work, why they are so expensive and how they could be made better. Three months later, that curiosity had led me to design, patent and prototype my very own composting toilet. I knew that part of the cost of any product is the marketing and I wanted to know if crowdfunding could be an effective marketing tool. So, I figured, the best way to find this out would be to run my own crowdfunding campaign! That led me onto learning about affiliate marketing, micro-influencers and online advertising (and being very underwhelmed by the hype around the AI in google and Facebook ads). Now, I need your help to spread the word about the upcoming crowdfunding launch in two weeks. Made Markets in GBP, EUR, USD inflation linked bonds swaps and options on the inflation desk. Generated cross-market relative value trade ideas and managed desk positions using fixed income and FX while working on the proprietary trading desk.

Investigated and reported on reduction in well performance due to condensation impairment. Recommended exploratory research on future wells to better estimate productivity.
