I lead the large scale interior fit-out and design of Google’s workplaces. My role ensures that Google’s space requirements and design aspirations are correctly outlined, developed, and fully met. This broadly involves : Evaluating Functional Requirements, Area and Feasibility Studies, Lease and related documentation, Overseeing Space Planning and Design, Project Management , More importantly, I also work on Employee Experience within and around the workplace, specific to the built environment, and the facilities provided.Monitoring the budget, site activities along with Project Managers and the cost consultants as against the agreed timeline and budget, My team successfully set up Google's largest office at Bangalore, The projects, handled and totaling 1.3 Million Sft, involved the following key functions : - Leased Area Requirements and Associated Space Planning - Validation of work carried out as per terms in the Lease Documentation - Development of Design Brief - Outlining Priorities, Aspirations, Objectives, Requirements - Managing Internal Stakeholders - Leadership, Business and User Groups - Managing Consultants and Partners - Developer, Project Managers, Architects, Engineering Consultants, Specialized Design Consultants - Concept Designers, Branding & Communications Specialists - Architecture and Interior Design Development - Reviews, Validation and Approvals on Concept Design, Look and Feel, Planning and Layouts, Design Details, Material Selection and Color Palettes, Technical Specifications - Tendering and Procurement - Shortlisting of agencies, review of commercial offers, techno-commercial negotiations and selection of contracting agencies and suppliers and recommend the best possible partners with Google. - Execution of Work - Tracking progress of work, adherence to design and quality - Project Closure

More importantly, I also work on Employee Experience within and around the workplace, specific to the built environment, and the facilities provided.Managing Internal Stakeholders - Leadership, Business and User Groups/ FM/Procurement team to achieve the best designed office spaces for the employee’s work environment.Managing Consultants and Partners - Internal Project Managers, Architects, Engineering Consultants, Specialized Design Consultants - Concept Designers, Branding & Communications SpecialistsLed “going agile” and changed close to 2 million sq.ft. of our existing office space to agile in multiple locations. Handling multiple projects in different location within the Infosys campus.Other projects include re-design of interiors to have more flexible space and user friendly to suit today’s work environment.

Worked on a variety of projects across locations, sizes and industry verticals. Experience included varied roles at all stages of a typical project life cycle - Project Feasibility, General Contracting (GC) under GC Concept Development, Design Development and Detailing, Tendering and Procurement for the internal sub-contractor’s, Execution and Closure. Managed all new business prospects from budgeting, negotiations, to monitoring the projects for a smooth handover to the clients.Monitored a team of 25 trained supervisors, and all other respective sub contractors.

Experience included varied roles at all stages of a typical project life cycle - General Contracting (GC) under GC Concept Development, Design Development and Detailing, Tendering and Procurement for the internal sub-contractor’s, Execution and Closure. Managed all new business prospects from budgeting, negotiations, to monitoring the projects for a smooth handover to the clients.Monitored a team of 10 trained supervisors, and all other respective sub contractors.

The significant time initially spent overseeing the implementation of design on site provided a solid foundation for the design management roles that came later. Played the role of Senior Architect and Regional Director role includes the following: The job also involved monitoring projects along with the external project managers like JLL , CBRE, C&W to ensure the project execution team built the office spaces in accordance with the design intent and within the approved budget.Managed Key accounts as Pan-India account for the IT corporates like Accenture, close to 2 million sft was delivered during this period.
