I spent 12 years as a professional footballer in Singapore playing for some top teams, which allowed me to add several titles to my professional football career. I also won 35 caps with the Singapore National team and my major achievement was scoring in an international cup final (Tiger Cup 1998, now known as Suzuki Cup) against Vietnam to give Singapore our first ever international title. The goal was dubbed as the “Blade of God”, Google it! It’s a funny story. Upon my retirement from the professional game at 29, I moved to Melbourne, Australia to pursue a career in Sports Marketing. In 2005, I moved back to Singapore and started a sports and brand activation agency Red Card Global with only my credit card, and built it into a $10million company when it was acquired in 2016. During this time, I have been a serial entrepreneur & an angel investor. I am regularly engaged by organizations to tell my story about building a business with nothing and sharing my thought process around resilience and self development. In summary, I have worked on over 1,000 events (Sports and Non-sports related). Consulted in projects worth over USD$600million, won new business worth over USD$60 million, advised royalty, politicians and professional athletes personally. Received awards for marketing campaigns and entrepreneurship. 6 Major Career achievements: - Placed Gregg Chappell as coach of Indian Cricket team (2005)- Launched a pro team in Singapore League in 2 weeks which won the League Cup (2010) Etoile FC - Turned a 6 figure sponsorship into a 7 figure ROI for a client over 3 years with a youth tournament (2011-2013) Canon Lion City Cup - Launched the first online sports radio station from concept to a fully operational station in 12 weeks. (2013-2015) Red Card Sports radio - Consulted a football federation on a commercial and broadcast deal worth USD$450mil over 15 years. (2015) Malaysia Super League - Majority Owner of Algrave CF in Portugal (2016) - Launched the Professional Football League in the Philippines.
