Technical Manager at First Water - Gentell I manage a small team that specialise in the introduction of new products for manufacturing at a range of facilities, either for internal manufacture or for manufacture through a third party. The department scope ranges from DHF creation and management, through to prototyping, engineering trials, process development, validation and manufacturing batch record generation for full scale production. This includes the specification, sourcing, installation and validation of specialist equipment and machinery where required.We run a one stop shop for turning ideas into validated robust processes.Taking ownership and accountability is important to me. I am calm and level headed, enjoy sharing knowledge and can adapt my training style to suit my audience. I enjoy a challenge and am motivated by the solving of challenges and completion of tasks.I enjoy customer interaction and believe that a transparent and open working relationship is the best way to ensure that expectations are managed and both parties get the full benefit of the relationship.I am passionate about technology and use the best tools to do the best job (I have spent most of my career working with Apple devices and find the seamless integration saves me hours every week). I am a technically minded quick learner, allowing me to gain swift situational awareness and make value adding, informed contributions in a timely manner. I am task driven and proven in breaking a seemingly impossible end goal, into smaller bite sized manageable chunks (and then making sure they get done).The skills gleaned from my experience have spilled into my home life. I often find myself generating a list of jobs and prioritising them for the greatest efficiency (much to the delight of my partner and kids I included as available resource).Outside of work I enjoy photography, spending time with my family, working in the garden, adventuring in the countryside. I am a drone pilot and film properties for clients in the local area.I support the local independent movie industry by helping out on set and by offering my services as an A2 CofC certified drone pilot.

Taking complex processes and simplifying them for training out to both technical & non technical staff, building in competency assessments so that staff are only signed off once they have proven their competence.• Investigations, deviations and CAPA’s to ensure issues are documented, investigated, short-term corrections are put in place and long-term preventive measures are agreed, actioned and reviewed.
