Software engineer on a few different disclosed projects. Worked as one small part in the team that helped bring Apple Vision Pro to the world.

Software engineer on the team behind a framework providing identity-based, end-to-end encrypted communication across the Apple ecosystem (powering features including iMessage, FaceTime, Continuity, HomeKit, and Apple Watch).

Worked in the Communication Applications team as an intern; helped fix some bugs like crashers and performance issues. Main project was related to improving performance, stability, and memory footprint in a few critical processes. Presented to senior director the results of this work, including a reduction in crash rates and both steady state and peak memory footprints in these daemons.

Led student team designing attitude control system for Electron Loss and Fields Investigator CubeSat satellite, selected by NSF’s Geospace CubeSat and NASA’s Low Cost Access to Space (LCAS) programs for joint funding (over $1 million). Created a software-based attitude and orbit propagator (MATLAB & Simulink) for ADCS simulation, and designed and implemented the attitude control system utilizing on-board magnetometer and magnetorquers. Ported the control law program to C to run on a microcontroller for hardware-in-the-loop testing. Published and presented a poster for UCLA 2014 Tech Forum (“Building an Attitude and Orbit Propagator to Simulate Magnetorquer-Based CubeSat Control Systems”). Was chosen to present ELFIN ADCS control law design to Air Force review panel for Critical Design Review (February 2014).

Created a small software library to configure UHF satellite communication networks on ViaSat’s DOCCT/S – a satellite communication simulation platform used by militaries and defense contractors globally. Learned Windows Presentation Foundation/XAML in addition to C# (.NET framework) to create the GUI. Applied specifications of military-standard UHF DAMA IW protocol, an implementation of multi-frequency TDMA. Completed design verification testing on final product with field engineers and presented software to management.

Programmed GUI and data processing algorithms in MATLAB for novel optical pulse characterization technique, including spectrum analysis tools for visualization of optical signals from data sampled at extremely high rates.

Worked as an intern on a data visualization tool to parse and process data logged by the Proximetry software suite (e.g. in databases and log files) and present the results in human-readable format, mainly using SQL and C++. Tool created user-friendly usage reports dynamically using Google Charts API. Presented this visualization tool to leadership.
