About Robert Harrison

Highly proficient and motivated materials scientist working in the area of nuclear fuels and cladding material research within the Dalton Nuclear and Henry Royce Institutes at the University of Manchester. Currently an EPSRC Early Career and Dalton Research Fellow, leading projects on delivering state-of-the-art active electron microscopy and advanced nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities as well as multi-institute, international research projects on advanced fuel technologies funded through a range of UK research council and industry funders. Principle investigator on >£1M of active research grants, directly managing research group staff and students, helping them to attain world leading skills and preform high impact research. Engaging with key UK stakeholders and policy makers to help deliver the UKs nuclear road-map to support net-zero and develop the UKs plutonium disposition road-map.
