Mr. Craft's software responsibilities include perform analysis of performance data; review, design, and model algorithms to support visualization and review customers. Review development tools for potential enhancements, and capability of streamlining the process. Conduct verification and validation testing of software for ensuring a zero-defect product prior to delivery. Creation and maintenance of detailed task instructions, forms, corporate templates, policies, and procedures help ensure high quality products. Additional attention is given when airworthiness assurance and flight safety accuracy are necessary. Software tools and languages used are Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio, C, C++, and C#.

Mr. Craft’s played an integral part in CDI’s process improvement in order to achieve and maintain CMMI-DEV ML3 certification as an organization in August 2010. Using CMMI as a model, Mr. Craft developed business policies and procedures for maintaining standard business and development practices. Process Improvement meetings were used to review current engineering processes against CMMI and IEEE standards. As a review team, process improvements were implemented and tracked against standards to ensure compliance. Mr. Craft collects process improvement metrics and prepare a Quarterly Staff Meeting for presentation to senior management and all CDI team members. Using this presentation, Management can ensures leadership skills are focused on improving the process for the benefit of the team and developed products. Mr. Craft and CDI maintain continued success and compliance to certification standards through the re-certification and achievement of CMMI-DEV ML3 in June 2013.

Business Development responsibilities include format, write, edit, and review proposals for upcoming opportunities in order to widen customer base and / or secure new work. Mr. Craft meets with current and potential new customers to emphasize the products CDI develops, processes which are followed, and dedication of our development team. Business development conferences are attended in order to gain essential skills in securing new opportunities and clarification on existing ones.
