As an intrical part of Cone Health’s Design & Innovation team I help healthcare leaders and innovators translate human-centered insights into transformative design.

I use immersive research to help teams uncover human-centered insights that help them better understand their colleagues, customers and communities. I use creative storytelling to help teams recognize the opportunity that design and insights hold. Design.The Volta Collaborative facilitates the conditions for creativity and innovation by helping communities visualize their assets and transform them into creative and innovative solutions. These solutions forge enduring economic, ecological, and social capital.We accomplish this vision through our commitment to community involvement and multidisciplinary collaboration. Our practice is fundamentally rooted in collaboration with pioneers from across the academic frontier, resulting in an ever-evolving, holistic methodology for catalyzing meaningful change, accelerated by leadership within the community.Our consultancy is a think and do tank whose work addresses areas of both domestic and international social concern. We address global concerns at a local level, recognizing that those economic and ecological challenges are rooted in social realities that require holistic, abductive reasoning. Our past work delved into the world of alternative energies, exploring strategies to move communities towards a resolve of energy independence. However, currently, Volta is joining multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers and educators who are teaching the methods and processes for generating on-demand creativity and sparks of insight that drive disruptive innovation.

Played an active role in the maintenance and development of academic standards in the development of educational policy and curriculum areas within the discipline.Led multiple teams of designers in the creation of comprehensive design briefs, strategic mapping of the design process, and contingency planning of a project throughout its execution.Assisted with the management, administration and further development of courses and programs.Teaching on-ground Graduate and Undergraduate Classes: Emerging Manufacturing Materials, Introduction to industrial design, Contextual Research Methods, Industrial Design in the Marketplace, Human Factors in Industrial Design, Graduate and Undergraduate Internships, Development of Product Form, Human Factor of Design Thinking and, Applied Theory of Design.

Recruited by the Dean of Design and the Chair of Industrial Design to bring real companies with real projects to the students. This concept led to SCAD's very successful Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) program which was institutionalized school wide as SCADPro.Partnered with the ID chair to development strategic alignment with external partners, including Johnson Controls, JCB, Kicker Audio, Vtech, Coca Cola, Georgia Tech, MIT.

Kicker is well known for producing high quality car audio products. With over 40 years of experience, they have earned the reputation as one of the top brands in the industry. Their speakers are renowned for their great sound quality and reliability.Principal designer for seven product lines with 350+ products representing over $120M.Collaborated directly with teams of mechanical, sound, and electronic engineers on all Kicker product development Facilitated design team meetings which included company executives from sales, marketing, research and development departments. Facilitated organizational engagement to bring design thinking to a strategic level for the first time in Kickers history. Developed a unified design language that became the foundation for this iconic brand.Initiated and facilitated multiple projects with the industrial design and design management programs at The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). This resulted in a market expansion into Kicker's highly successful business unit (home and portables). Also paving the way for new market relationships with Apple, Microsoft, and Best Buy; as well as helping SCAD visualize the full potential for collaborative partnerships within the global market.
