We built a new and innovative Android launcher that simplified and improved application launching. I was accountable for all development functions including Engineering, Product Management and Strategy and used external support for Sales and Marketing services.I employed an enterprise agile software development process (SCRUM and Kanban) across multiple sites and focused the team on building high quality software to predictable deadlines; short release cycles were used to further encourage agility. Our first product was nearing completion in early 2014 when we decided to adapt the product to Nokia's new strategy where devices were no longer the main focus.I defined a new programme based on some of the technology we had recently developed. We demonstrated new user experiences, transforming concepts into working applications developed for mobile and desktop platforms - using Agile and SCRUM techniques. Within the first 6 months, I recruited a team of 20 talented and experienced developers situated in London and Silicon Valley. The team delivered and presented 7 prototype applications for assessment by executive stakeholders in Nokia. One of the prototypes was taken forward as a major investment in Nokia and several others were used indirectly. -
