End-to-end provision of everything required to build new software products; virtual seat with access to compliant infrastructure-less development environment for bank employees and vendors, fast-track vendor onboarding (two weeks) and access to a wide community of software engineers. All the main Corporate Bank growth products defined in 2020 and 2021 have used Breaking Wave, with two going live in 2021. User base and revenue are doubling annually.

We used man-machine learning and context sensing technologies to create new user experiences, whilst providing unique business models for our partners.Heading my team of 60 people situated in California, Finland and the UK, we set out to build a new mobile device and a suite of supporting cloud services. Our first product was nearing completion in early 2014 when we decided to adapt the product to Nokia's new strategy where devices were no longer the main focus.I defined a new programme based on some of the technology we had recently developed. I was then asked to lead a new program and was challenged with getting to market within three months.

Director, Advanced Development, Cto GroupNokia Oct 2010 - Nov 2011Espoo, Southern Finland, FiRequested by the CTO of Nokia to establish a rapid prototyping group that would spearhead the push to find future disruptions enabled by state-of-the-art technology. We demonstrated new user experiences, transforming concepts into working applications developed for mobile and desktop platforms - using Agile and SCRUM techniques. Within the first 6 months, I recruited a team of 20 talented and experienced developers situated in London and Silicon Valley. The team delivered and presented 7 prototype applications for assessment by executive stakeholders in Nokia. One of the prototypes was taken forward as a major investment in Nokia and several others were used indirectly.

As a member of a SW development management team with a £46M annual budget, I provided technical leadership to over 700 globally distributed engineers via a large technical hierarchy (22 technology streams).I was responsible for system wide feature delivery, improvement of the development process and future architecture of all OS technologies.We delivered several system wide features including Symmetric Multi-Processing support, Demand Paging and real-time scheduling of both networking and multimedia streams. I also co-created an enterprise level Agile development process working with industry leaders and assisted the roll-out.
