Raahi is a Principal with Estolano Advisors and their Pacific Northwest Director. She is an exceptional facilitator and coalition builder who helps foster strong connections and trust among stakeholders and partners in multilingual, multicultural environments. Her portfolio includes assisting community, labor, Tribal nations and governmental stakeholders in delivering equitable outcomes through community benefits agreements, workforce and child care strategies on large-scale public sector and green infrastructure projects.Prior to joining Estolano Advisors, Raahi served as the Director of Oregon Metro's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department. Her team was responsible for ensuring Metro’s programs, investments, and internal practices led with a racial equity lens to effectively advance equity in the region. This work included launching and leading the groundbreaking Construction Careers Pathways Project, bringing together numerous public agencies and stakeholders in the Portland metro region to jointly plan, invest and support a new generation of diverse workers in the construction sector. She also spearheaded efforts to advance equity through millions of dollars of investments in the region including the Capacity Building for Civic Engagement grant program for community-based organizations working in underinvested communities.Raahi has served as faculty at the UCLA, UC Berkeley, and University of Oregon’s Labor Centers, working on economic justice, racial and gender justice and equitable development. She has co-authored several articles and reports on the experiences of low wage-earning Oregonians, including "The High Cost of Low Wages in Oregon” and “Oregon’s Care Economy: The Case for Public Care Investment” detailing the economic disparities faced by Oregon’s workforce.Raahi holds a Professional Certificate in Tribal Relations from Portland State University, a Masters in Urban Planning from UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Rutgers University.
