Hello, my name is Raahi Patel and I am from Bartlett, Illinois. I am currently attending Indiana University as a double major in marketing and information systems. This has allowed me to improve my skills of adaptability and thinking divergently through various clubs and programs. As a member in the Center for Women in Technology Research Program, I use various platforms such as R Studio and Zotero to help research different companies. This program has helped me develop my skills of thinking divergently as we have to use statistics found through a school-wide hackathon to create detailed presentations on gender bias in the workplace. As a part of Indiana University’s premier raas and garba dance team, I have learned how to be adaptable at a moment's notice. For example, during the competition season, our captains are constantly changing skits, choreography, props, and forms between competitions to improve our dance. As a full-time dancer, adaptability is a skill I must have so I can efficiently learn whatever is thrown at me at each practice. I hope to use my characteristics of thinking outside the box and being flexible to create successful marketing campaigns by using design platforms I am familiar with like Canva and Adobe. My main goal is to gain more experience in the marketing industry and further develop my skills while simultaneously using them to better a company's brand. I look forward to collaborating with new faces and improving my professional interpersonal skills.
