At Population Foundation of India, I manage Operations, Finance, Legal, Administration, Human Resource, Operations, Information Technology work. As part of Senior Management Team, my job responsibilities include providing Strategic Financial Management support, leadership, ensuring appropriate systems and controls, supporting various programme initiatives to grow the country programme. I work on developing new program plans, ideas and financial budgets and also on strategic transformation plans. Risk assessment and mitigation, managing internal controls, financial management, improving protocols, procurement, inputs on staff welfare schemes etc.

 Reporting to Executive Director and Governing Board.  Lead in all decisions of the Foundation on Operational, Finance, HR, Admin, Legal and IT functions.  Providing strategic inputs and reports on program functioning to the Program team, Management and Board. Tracking all the donor programs for on-time performance, giving directions on completing tasks and providing strategic inputs on managing program work. Strategic advice on donor management, reporting and relationships.  Develop new program plans, ideas and financial budgets. Developed a strategic transformation plan with revision in structure, reporting and management style.  Effective budgetary mechanism & monitoring it through a robust reporting system and monitoring them with monthly project reports on burn rates.  Manage and invest funds to maximise return and get value for money on resources deployed. Providing strategic inputs on risk assessment & mitigation.  Interact with International Donors for budgets, agreements, funds and timely submission of reports.  As Chief of Operations ensuring support in programme implementation by establishing crucial link between programme and finance and admin functions.  Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and work on annual plan for internal audit coverage. Manage and improve financial, admin, procurement and HR protocols. Guide in Human Resource planning, recruitment, performance evaluation and training decisions. Efficient and effective procurement arrangement with vendors for program and office administration. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements like FCRA, Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI etc. and filing of statutory returns Representing the Foundation in meetings with donors, statutory auditors, internal auditor, bankers and other public officials. Interact with legal and other professionals to seek expert opinion. Oversee implementation of FCRA guidelines and coordination of FCRA audit.

Worked as Chief Finance Officer, reporting to CEO at HO and Trustee. The Trust works in the poorest of poor districts and has two Projects – Administration of Eye care through Primary vision centres, Secondary hospital and Tertiary hospital along with an in-depth Eye camp initiative and Delivering Women’s empowerment programme in forming Self Help groups for micro finance, providing health initiatives, sanitation initiatives etc. for poverty elevation. I head multifarious activities including Legal, HR, Admin, Information Technology apart from my usual Finance and Accounts related work. The job, though based at HO, requires me to support the Project CEOs in their individual enterprise/Project development giving me wide exposure.

Worked as Director-Finance and reporting to the CFO of the Company at Chicago. Primary responsibility is Finance and Accounts alongwith Legal, secretarial. Budgeting and controlling business operations. Review profitability of each profit centres, report variations, suggest remedies, review collections. Regular MIS reporting to US, managing local accounts, finance and operations issues.

Rs. 250 million joint venture Company between Singapore Consortium, Unitech and Haryana Urban Development Authority. Reported to the CEO and to the Board of Directors collectively. The Company is into Real Estate development with a 70 acre park. Working on budgets, presenting variation reports to the Board. Handling Finance for Singapore consortium and associated evaluating various projects with IRRs and calculating net worth of projects. Valuation of holding Company for share sales.

Worked with The State Trading Corporation of India Ltd., (STC) New Delhi as Deputy Finance Manager reporting to Chief General Manager-Finance. In my various assignments handled Mustard Oil Projects, was head of Branches for 6 years, did Trading in Agricultural commodities, managed Forex and Funds, Taxation. Was also responsible for consolidation of various branches and division accounts in HO.
