As the Director of Communications for Duke Health's AI Evaluation & Governance (E&G) program, I lead efforts to spotlight the groundbreaking work of our team, positioning Duke as a national leader in AI evaluation and governance. My focus is on crafting clear, impactful messaging that resonates with a diverse audience — ranging from industry leaders and researchers to policymakers, educators, and the public — while staying true to Duke Health's vision and mission.I am honored to contribute to the communication strategies of both the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) and the Trustworthy & Responsible AI Network (TRAIN), two initiatives at the forefront of establishing guidelines for trustworthy AI in healthcare. From shaping CHAI’s communication since its inception to helping TRAIN grow, I’m committed to ensuring these efforts are recognized and understood across the industry.My journey began at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), where I developed my skills in public relations and thought leadership at the intersection of the biomedical industry, academia, and regulatory bodies like the FDA.
