About Ric Barradas Lssgb
In my last role I was in a unique industry as an Operations Manager that lives and breathes the mantra "Change is constant, either keep moving forward or get left behind!" That mindset has energized over 80+ continuous process improvement initiatives in the last 5 years that not only yielded amazing results it passed the real world test of "Hey this actually works!" I was fortunate in my military career to engage in real world Operations Planning, Program Management, and Continuous Improvement Implementation projects all over the globe. The greatest benefit of having experiences all over the world is that I had the opportunity to meet some really amazing people and leaders who became mentors and friends over the years that still teach and encourage me to grow to this very day. I am always willing to share lessons learned with those who want to improve their skills, critical thinking abilities; and if I cant help I know so many that can! I want to continue seeking out opportunities and experiences to develop my leadership skills to best serve my team and its players!

Process Specialist
Operations Program Manager
I had the distinct honor and privilege to oversee daily operations for the initial and sustained training for global expeditionary operations in hostile and unpredictable conditions for deploying Airmen. The instructor staff I served as the Course Director for the Training venue was second to none and they were legitimately a testimony to professionalism and ultimately the key ingredient to the success of the training program.I was privileged to lead the training staff and manage scheduling while maintaining accountability of training equipment and Air Force assets, situated on and off site. My team varied from; 48 to 88 instructors as the needs varied but they were responsible for teaching 124 individual combat training skills 12 months of the year 365 days a week.Despite leading the program, I was also an active instructor specializing in Weapons Sustainment, Individual and Team Tactics, Active Shooter Response, Basic Communication, and Escalation of Force. But as much as I loved teaching my primary field of focus was to oversee and regulate the 95.5-hr training schedule; assign instructors classrooms, and ranges for the 2.4K deploying Airmen annually.Mission resources and operations were not the climaxes of my experience at the 421st. It was the purpose of our organization is what induced the most satisfaction. Simply put, the program was designed to preserve life of my brothers and sisters. Mentoring and training Air Force members and instructors alike is what motivated me to lace up those boots and go out to the field in any weather and send people out to wherever duties dictated and secure democracy or offer aid with an ability to survive, execute the mission and come back home to their families. Not many can say that they made a difference in the world like I can, but I am humbled that my leaders allowed me to have the opportunity and I am grateful to have been a part of this mission.
Air Traffic Operations & Area Manager
I had the opportunity to gain vast ATC experience in both a radar and tower facility. I had an uncanny ability to teach trainees experiencing difficulty in training a vast array of complicated subject matter and get them to becoe FAA rated Air Traffic Controllers. As an Air Traffic Contoller I employed radar and non-radar procedures to separate/sequence aircraft within my areas of responsibility. I also controlled and supervised aircraft military operations areas (MOA) in assigned airspace, Operated Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS), Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR), Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch (ETVS), Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO), Integrated Information Display & Dissemination Systems (IDS5-AIM) and Digital Voice Recording System (DVRS). I also Completed the required training and earned the special skill identifier for Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, Standards, and Evaluations and the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, ATC Training. What I really did was control 60K annual arriving, departing and en-route operations in a highly complex and dense AETC traffic environment in Columbus MS, Southern New Jersey, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan and Tokyo Japan. the smallest team I led a six-member ATC facility crew at PACAF's largest airlift hub--responsible for 40K+ annual ops at Yokota AB, Japan. I know training and have the attitude and capacity to ensure the mission will get accomplished.
Heavy Equipment And Transport Technology/Construction Equipment Systems
My introduction to the military and the world in which I am grateful no had the opportunity to see. I had leadership responsibilities at an early start to my career and supervised three military personnel as a young SrA. My primary duty was to Inspect, maintain, and repair 750 special purpose & general purpose vehicles and related equipment valued over $32 million. I had to aquire the skill to determine vehicle and part serviceability, overall vehicle condition, and diagnose the need for any repairs by use of visual and auditory examinations. Synopsis of Role: Inspects, removes, repairs adjusts, overhauls, and replaces the vehicle's engine, powertrain, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic, pneumatic, emission, electrical, and air conditioning systems and related components. Referred to technical publications while maintaining vehicles to prescribed manufacturer's specifications.
