I grew up in Brooklyn and attended rabbinical school at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) of Yeshiva University. Rabbi Ebbin received his rabbinic ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University in 2001.I completed my Bachelors of Arts, Psychology from City University of New York-Brooklyn College and a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration, for non-profit organizations, at Baruch College in NY. I pursued this particular Masters’ in order to fill the needs of a religious congregation in today’s world, being a knowledgeable Torah scholar and teacher doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll know how to manage an efficient organization. Working together with laypeople and building relationships with individuals and other institutions are key factors to form the finest product to best fit the needs of your community.My career took me to synagogues in Westchester, Stamford, and Montreal. I arrived in Merrick on July 9, 2010 to assume the pulpit of Congregation Ohav Sholom.
