Returning recently to Veterinary Management, Alan Abrams is the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of The Dr. Steve Abrams Memorial Foundation - PetSavers, Inc., (www.DoctorSteve.org) a non-profit that provides grants to pet parents who are facing euthanasia due to financial restraints.Dr. Steven G. Abrams, (MSU’55), (Alan's father, for whom the Foundation is named), passed away in January, 2008 practiced for some fifty years, and never once did he euthanize a patient simply because the clients could not afford procedures or treatment. In his memory and in keeping with his love for companion animals, as well as the Veterinary profession, his family has established this Foundation in hopes of one day eradicating euthanasia as an option for patients who could be treated and made whole, if not for the barrier of cost.Alan is the proud father of Sara, Zac (Heather), Dylan and Tyler.
