As a USCG Auxiliary Chaplain I provide pastoral support to active and reserve duty USCG personnel stationed at Naval Base Everett (Everett, Washington).

As CBINT's spiritual leader I oversee the congregations' religious, lifecycle, and educational programs. During my tenure I have led the effort to change our membership model from a traditional dues paying structure to a tzedakah framework, and I secured the lead gift of a multi-million dollar capital campaign that enabled our congregation to undertake a major, successful renovation of our synagogue campus. I am passionate about teaching Torah to Jews of all ages, and I take great pride in being an articulate and compelling public speaker - both on and off the bimah. Not satisfied with waiting for people to walk through the synagogue door, I have developed creative outreach approaches to meet both members and potential members where they are.Serving the greater Jewish community is very important to me and my Rabbinate. I have and do serve as a leader in the local and national Jewish communities. I have served on the board of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and two terms as President of the Wisconsin Council of Rabbis. Four the last three years I have served as Chair the Rabbinical Assembly's Commission for Vital and Connected Rabbinate, overseeing the work of 11 committees. I serve as a member of the Leadership Team of the RA's Strategic Vision Team, and as a member of the RA's Executive Council. I also serve on the Shalom Hartman Institute's Rabbinic Advisory Board.

Served a 1,500 member unit, multigenerational and leading congregation of the Conservative Movement, overseeing all of the congregation's religious and educational programming.

Served as the congregation's Assistant Rabbi and helped transition the congregation from the retirement of its Senior Rabbi of 30 plus years to new rabbinic leadership. This was my first rabbinic position following graduation from rabbinical school and ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Assisted The Rabbinical Assembly's Executive Associate Director and RA Placement Commission with matters related to rabbinical placement. Coordinated and planned the RA's programming including Rav HaMakhshir (Kosher supervision training), Brit Kodesh (training program for Mohalim), and RA Annual Convention.
