I worked closely with SMUD’s Sustainable Communities Director and leadership to provide non-profits, community leaders, and healthcare advisors with communication, education technology, and change management consultation. This included, but was not limited to, facilitating educational workshops, providing customized curation of learning resources for upskilling and workforce development, strategic planning consultation, and support for community service events.

I develop and lead enterprise-wide learning and development programs, projects, services, and systems that support and advance SMUD’s business strategies and meet identified learning and development needs. This includes leadership and human resources needs, support for Employee Resource Groups, enterprise culture, as well as DEIB and regulatory compliance requirements. Lead and support SMUD’s enterprise-wide learning / technology driven projects. Provide support for enterprise wide Data Governance programs.

I served as Business Partner for SMUD’s Customer and Community Services division and worked with the executive leadership team to help drive SMUD's customer and community engagement strategy. Facilitated communications, employee engagement, and strategic plan development efforts that culminated in successful rollout of internal communications revamp, engagement action plan development, and strategic plan.

I design and deliver instructional programs for the Instructional Design for eLearning Certificate (IDeL) Program and other community workforce development related programs. Utilize and teach methods for leveraging multimedia technology in the development of online learning. Coordinate meetings and lead educational efforts to determine learning needs, new technology training solutions and interventions, and assess effectiveness of program curricula. Work with all levels of program staff, education institution partners, and other subject matter experts to provide program-specific learning solutions.

I consulted with various levels of staff and provide technical support to drive the research, planning, testing and management of eLearning/computer-based training in a fast-paced and highly technical team environment. I managed competing priorities and team workloads to provide ongoing support for a wide range of enterprise technology needs and special projects. I also worked with external vendors to deliver learning solutions in alignment with civil service laws and rules.

As a Training Officer in the 'Training Delivery' unit at CalPERS, I provided consultative services and instruction for a range of business needs, from instructor-led and web-based training curriculum design, to interpersonal employee relations. Additionally, I specialized / provided data analysis and presentation design consultation for various program areas at CalPERS. I also had the fortunate opportunity to establish and maintain many productive, enterprise-wide relationships as training liaison for many CalPERS program areas, as well as external training vendors.

Served as Board Chair of the California Network of Learning Professionals (CNLP), the CA State learning and professional development advocacy group sponsored by the California Department of Human Resources (December 2014—December 2016). Recognized for outstanding leadership and advocacy towards furthering learning and development for civil service professionals. Worked with statewide training leaders and civil service professionals to provide leadership, advocacy, and strategic direction to facilitate collaboration and strategic partnerships amongst the State of California's learning and professional development community.

On behalf of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and under the Federal Receiver, I planned, developed and delivered statewide training programs in class and via web-based methods. I had the opportunity to lead and coordinate educational efforts to determine learning needs, purchase advanced technology training solutions, and develop performance measurement techniques. I also worked with executive level staff, managers, trainers, and subject matter experts to provide classification-specific learning solutions.

As a 'roving analyst' working on special projects related to mental health patient care, I worked with executive level staff, managers, trainers, subject matter experts and consultants to meet department learning needs. I managed communication plans associated with policy and procedure changes and implementation. I also participated in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of various training programs, which included the preparation of verbal, written and statistical reports to various levels of staff.
