Rabbi Sandra Lawson is a passionate and innovative leader who works to advance racial diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Jewish community and beyond. She is the Director of DEI at Reconstructing Judaism, the central organization of the Reconstructionist movement, where she develops anti-racist policies and trainings, and mentors rabbinical students. As a rabbi, a musician, and a writer, Lawson inspires people through her music, words, and leadership. She is the founder and spiritual leader of Kol Hapanim, a new and inclusive Jewish community. She is also a proud veteran who served in the US Army, and holds a MA in Sociology from Clark Atlanta University. She is a recognized public speaker and a social media influencer who was named one of the Forward 50 2020 and one of the 22 Faith Leaders to Watch in 2022 by the Center for American Progress.
