Innovative Adult Education: Designed a 30-week master class entitled Thinking Jewishly to provide a fresh outlook on hot topics in American Jewish life. Co-led Sixth & I’s flagship introduction to Judaism course, the Jewish Welcome Workshop, serving over 40 students while personally mentoring 10 students through the conversion process each year. Co-facilitated Adult B'nai Mitzvah class. Empowered 35 young adults to lead Shabbat services, learn trope, and interpret Torah. Utilized the city of Washington D.C. as a living classroom to investigate the intersection of faith and democracy through a recurring series entitled Monumental Mondays. Served as the rabbinic adviser on 10-day trip with Honeymoon Israel.Social Justice & Community Engagement: Independently designed three large-scale initiatives to increase volunteers, advocacy efforts, and dialogue in the greater D.C. area. Created the first-ever Interfaith Roundtable for Jewish, Christian, and Muslim professionals. Engaged five faith-based institutions with over 200 participants and 40 regular attendees. Procured grant funding, organized speakers, and involved over 70 participants in a three-part summer cycling and social justice series. Partnered with 12 local non-profits to create a volunteer justice fair with over 200 attendees. Recruited dozens of first-time volunteers for academic tutoring, meal services, and non-partisan voter turnout. Project Management and Staff Supervision: Oversaw Sixth & I’s lay-led Collectives project. Empowered volunteers to expand monthly programmatic opportunities for underserved groups in the Jewish community. Developed and implemented monthly Jewish education and community building opportunities for young families.
