Rachel A. Beech, Ed.D. is the Vice President, Enrollment Management & Student Success at Miami University (Oxford, OH). Her over 20 years of experience in higher education has centered on the leading institutions to develop dynamic structures that positively impact student enrollment, persistence, and graduation. Dr. Beech sees her work in enrollment management and student success as critical to student access and degree attainment, positioning her to remove administrative barriers to establish a strong foundation for student engagement, retention, and graduation outcomes. Her current portfolio includes Admissions, Student Financial Assistance, Bursar, Registrar, Retention, Persistence & Graduation Initiatives, Enrollment Operations, Research & Analytics, Registrar and the Center for Career Exploration & Success. Prior to serving at Miami University, Dr. Beech held leadership roles at California State University, San Bernardino, the University of Arizona and Arizona State University.Dr. Beech has been a regular presenter at regional, national and international conferences and an invited speaker on her areas of expertise. She is actively involved in a number of professional organizations, serves as a reviewer for the Paul F. Fiddler Grant of the National Resource Center for First Year Experience and Students in Transition, and has been an engaged leader with ACPA - College Student Educators International. Dr. Beech earned her Doctorate of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education in 2011 from Arizona State University; her dissertation focusing on support of staff in their professional transitions within higher education. She holds a M.Ed. from the same program at ASU and Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
