As an influential leader in global health policy and a pioneer of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Turkey, I bring over two decades of extensive experience across all levels of healthcare decision-making, from primary care to national policy. My career is highlighted by my role as the first Turkish professional with a degree in HTA and the founder of Turkey's first hospital-based HTA function. This initiative has driven significant national reforms, including the pharmaceutical reimbursement system, influencing health policy across more than 1000 public hospitals.My work extends internationally as I currently serve as the President of Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi), where I spearhead efforts to advance HTA practices in emerging markets. With a background as a family physician, researcher, and educator, I am deeply committed to enhancing healthcare quality through evidence-based medicine and effective health policy.
