Art history and design are two of my favorite areas to work in amongst painting, botanical illustrations, and experimenting with mix-media textiles. I love to work on designing apparel or accessories in layers. My belief is that just like painting which gets the depth and three-dimensional quality by building upon layers and layers of light or dark paint, different types of fabrics and their embellishments play a huge part in bringing up the character in any fashion/textile piece.
