My research work develops and applies algebraic topology methods for analyzing data. Algebraic topology, which is an abstract domain of mathematics, contributes in reducing the bridge gap between mathematics and applications especially data analysis. Algebraic topology theories, such as homology theory and sheaf theory are very practical even though they are very conceptual and abstract. These methods 'measure the shape' of the data, and count the occurrences of patterns. They are able to build a combinatorial representation of the shape of the data that can be combined with other statistical or mathematical methods. Rabih Assaf on ResearchGate
