I completed the following consulting projects through the MBA program:1) Reviewed AT&T's share repurchase program and recommended using excess free cash flow to continue share repurchases.2) Reviewed the competitive position of a local start-up company and made a recommendation on the type of funding to pursue in the next round.3) Reviewed the competitive position for Assurant Solutions in Brazil and made a recommendation to improve its return.Teaching Assistant Separately, as a Teaching Assistant for the undergraduate Introduction to Corporate Finance class, I led two discussion sections per week and answer students' questions in face-to-face and online forums.

From June 2010 to June 2013, I served as a security program officer and current operations officer at the region headquarters in Naples, Italy. I oversaw security programs and inspected security arrangements at subordinate bases. I also managed and supervised 10 personnel in a communications center and conducted operational planning with higher headquarters. My significant accomplishments from this period include achieving a 40% reduction in security concerns and leading the restructuring of a struggling team by transforming their processes and improving their performance.From August 2008 to May 2010, I served as the training officer on the USS Harpers Ferry, based in Sasebo, Japan. I managed the ship's training program for 330 people with a budget of $250,000, planned and executed ship's drills and training evolutions, and coordinated the planning board to set the ship's training schedule. During this time, I improved the completion rate of essential training from 75% to 90%. I also assisted nine junior officers to achieve their professional qualifications by conceptualizing and initiating a supplementary training program for newly reporting officers.From July 2006, to July 2008, I served as the first lieutenant on the USS Curtis Wilbur, based in Yokosuka, Japan. I managed and supervised 25 technicians in the operation and maintenance of the ship's deck equipment, ground tackle, and aviation equipment. I managed the search and rescue and aviation facilities programs. I planned and executed flight operations, anchoring and mooring evolutions, underway replenishments, and small boat operations. In this capacity, I led the effort to attain the aviation certification three months early after a major refurbishment of the flight deck, a feat that is only rarely done.
