At Cooper River Tech LLC I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and interesting projects. One of my accomplishments was the development of a Cryptocurrency Trading System in Julia, using ARIMA, and other prediction algorithms. Another very interesting project was the optimization of the Linux kernel for optimal latency. This involved working with Busy Box, Void and Alpine Linux to create a custom Linux kernel that was specifically tailored to the needs of our trading system. I also implemented QEMU/KVM virtual machines for debugging and testing the new kernels, as well as LXC and Docker for web tools.In addition, I was responsible for implementing our Linux datacenter environment at Boston CYXTERA and moving production to NY4 and NY5 (Equinix) in New Jersey. This involved building datacenters with Supermicro servers and Arista switches, as well as setting up datacenter tools in LXC/QEMU VMs with PXE, DHCP, VPN, IPMI, Firewall, Jenkins, Log-Monitoring, PRTG, and Gitlab. I also developed a monitoring system via IPMI for hardware alerts and used Tcpdump and iPerf for network debugging and monitoring.These projects have been challenging and rewarding, and I have learned a great deal about Julia, and Linux. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked on these projects, and I am excited to continue to learn and grow in my professional career.

As a software engineer, at Potamus Trading I have had the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and rewarding projects in the industry. I've managed datacenters at Equinix (NY4/NY5) Nasdaq and NYSE, implemented virtualization for users and tools (Qemu/Docker/Kubernetes), and built datacenters (Supermicro servers/ Arista switches/ Sonoma clocks) with essential components (PXE/DHCP/DNS/ VPN/Firewalls). I've also conducted network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (Zeek/Focal), implemented monitoring systems, and set up and maintained Ceph storage clusters. I made most of the automation with Jenkins, Ansible, Bash and Powershell scripting. Achieving: optimized IT costs, strengthened security, and increased scalability.In addition to my data-center expertise, I'm also skilled in research and development. I've worked on the trading system, market data tools, and data analysis tools using C and Python. I've also implemented Kafka and Redis clusters, and open source tools like OpenProject, Gitlab, SharePoint, and FTP. I'm experienced in software distribution and deployment (CI/CD/Linux packages), automation, cloud virtualization (AWS/GCP/Azure), and government compliance (FINRA/SEC).One of my most memorable projects was migrating an entire office to the cloud using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Enterprise E5. This was a complex and challenging project, but my team and I were able to successfully execute it. We migrated all of the company's data and applications to the cloud, and we also implemented a new cloud-based infrastructure. We migrated all all data to retain compliance (AppRiver, Global Relay and Iron Mountain). This migration allowed the company to save money on IT costs, improve its security posture, and scale its operations more easily. I've helped companies to improve their IT operations in significant ways. I'm passionate about my work, and I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.

As a software engineer at IkaSystems, I was passionate about helping others learn and grow. I trained and mentor all levels of staff on our software and systems. I have also worked across teams to improve and streamline processes and methods, ensuring consistency.One of my most significant contributions was developing an internal test process. This process has helped to ensure that new versions of our software transition smoothly to production. I have also developed several Python-based processes optimization and automation tools. These tools have helped to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our work.I got extensive experience in developing and maintaining large-scale software systems. I have worked on a variety of projects, including the Claim Adjudication Engine, HSS Grouper, and iCES Server. These systems are written in C, C++, and Oracle Pro-C, and they run on Linux.I have also worked on several projects to optimize and automate processes within these systems. For example, I developed a regression test system that automates the testing of new versions of the software. This system has helped to reduce the time and effort required to release new software versions.I got experience in DevOps and QA practices.I worked with the DevOps team to implement CI/CD practices. This has helped us to release new software versions more frequently and with fewer errors.Overall, I am a highly skilled and experienced software engineer with a proven track record of success.
