I currently head the primary project of Maronan Metals as Managing Director. The operation is focused on an advanced lead-silver and copper-gold deposit in the Cloncurry region of Northwest Queensland.For almost 10 years I was COO of Direct Nickel, a company developing breakthrough technology for treatment of nickel laterite deposits.I have operated a consulting practice for 20 years, offering leadership development and team development, assisting businesses looking to improve the bottom line through developing their people. I also consult to the mining industry in the specialities of risk management, opportunity assessment and change implementation.My professional mining career has included management roles in significant mine operations, practical underground mining, planning, scheduling and budgeting. Later mine site positions were that of the General Manager, reporting to head office based Executives. The responsibility has been for every aspect of the site, safety, risk management, production, cost, environmental and industrial relations performance.
