An early obsession with race calling set the stage for my journey into horse racing. Born in a small upstate New York town, that childhood fascination has evolved into calling the Kentucky Derby – a dream realized through single-minded focus and an unyielding commitment to the craft.My unique approach to race calling combines innate talent with a deep understanding of the sport. I pride myself on my ability to read the nuances of a race as it unfolds, delivering not just commentary, but captivating stories that immerse listeners. My journey began with childhood imagination, drawing racetracks on my parents' floors, and has evolved into a career characterized by a voice and vocabulary that - I hope - enhances every race I call.I've been lucky to call races around the world from Kentucky to Saudi Arabia. The Kentucky Derby stands as my greatest professional test each year, a monumental challenge that fills me with a blend of eager anticipation and nervous apprehension.
