I developed a cloud based Google Sheets/Docs data input, handling and processing solution to ensure that as the entries are processed, the members are emailed a copy of the processed entries to ensure the data is correct.I developed a new Hand in Procedure to minimise delays and ensure that members’ artwork can be hung/displayed in the most efficient manner.Produce exhibition catalogue of workManagement of the Sales Desk, customer services, processing sales and cashing up at the end of the day. Ensure that all unsold work is returned to the correct member and sold work is collected by the correct buyer.Write and present an Exhibition report to the members.

In 2015 I started my own micro business where I design and make bright and fun glass decor for the Home and Garden. Along with being the designer and maker, I am also responsible for calculating how much it costs to make a product (the bill of materials), what the wholesale and retail prices should be to achieve my desired profit margin, who is my target audience and where are they. Other responsibilities include health and safety, bookkeeping and logistics.I have been successful in having my work displayed and sold in galleries across England. My online sales have seen my products shipped worldwide.I have sold direct to the public at many of the south’s large events such as The Garden Show at Stansted House.I have exhibited and negotiated with trade customers at a Trade Only Event, British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate.A recent challenge was to work out how to be in two places at once, when two important events were on the same dates, in very different areas of England.Using my technical skills, I have developed a database application to track my sales, material stock, current inventory and cost to make of each piece. These Databases were developed and run on cloud computing resources using Airtable bases with Zapier to create datalinks between bases.

My last project with Ericsson Television was the development of tests for product software. I was responsible for developing complex test sequences to ensure that GUIs operated as specified. These tests were deployment within a Jenkins framework as part of a Continuous Integration process.MARVIN is a robotic button pusher that I developed and deployed to automate the testing of a product front panel. It is a combination of National Instrument Controlled pneumatic actuators, WebCams, Python scripts and Video recording software.The product front panel has a dynamic menu structure that depends on the hardware modules and software modules installed. I quickly realised that testing every combination of hardware and software option was not feasible, even with the best automation. After liaising with the Product Development and Sales teams, I determined that the front panel was only utilised in very few situations and with only a few hardware options.I planned, developed and deployed the test solution for the first two option combinations. After deployment, I delivered a baselined solution to the Test Support Team who then undertook further development to include additional hardware/software combinations.

As a Test Development Engineer within the Solutions Area Media Business Unit of Ericsson Television I designed, implemented, deployed and supported production test solutions for broadcast products across multiple global contract manufacturers. My test strategies employed both manual and automated test techniques, providing cost effective production test solutions while maintaining the required level of product quality. I have been involved in projects ranging from an automated functional test solution for a single PCB to defining the overall test strategy for a new product group.My test solutions have utilised a wide range of professional equipment, with a variety of control interfaces including Ethernet, USB, GPIB and RS232 control interfaces using many different Command Protocols, Syntax, APIs etc, including SCPI, VISA, XML, and most recently .NET. My test solutions were primarily implemented using National Instruments LabVIEW, although I have also used National Instruments TestStand and an internal proprietary script language.Throughout the Test Development process I produced documents including Test Plans, Test Specifications and Test Procedures. These detailed documents conveyed the required information to people with technical and non-technical backgrounds.As a Test Development Engineer I have worked as an individual, as part of a larger project group and as a project manager.Key AchievementsProject managing the duplication, test and deployment of an existing but problematic test solution, within a very short timescale.Convincing stakeholders that an existing test philosophy was not suitable for a ‘next generation product’ and defining a viable alternative. Design, implementation and deployment of an automated test solution for a Satellite Modulator product.

As a Test Development Technician I assisted Test Development Engineers with testing andsupport of Functional Test solutions in a local Contract Manufacturer. Having developed mytest and support skills, I was soon promoted to Test Development Engineer. NDS

I was employed by NDS as a Design Support Technician where my primary project was the system thermal testing of the company’s first 2U encoder product. The software used for this testing was written in LabVIEW.
