I am a Senior Researcher at Metro Transit, the largest public transit agency in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region of Minnesota. In my role, I conduct research and analyze data to better understand the experiences, behaviors, and opinions of riders, employees, and residents of the region. To do so, I use both quantitative and qualitative methods, such as surveys and interviews. My work has been used to inform the implementation of initiatives outlined by the Minnesota legislature, measure the region's competing values around public transit, track riders' sense of safety, and evaluate the hiring process for operators. I strive to conduct rigorous, accessible research that produces actionable insights and guides decision-making.My academic background is in Social Psychology. As a PhD student at the University of Minnesota, I employed methods such as survey research and behavioral observation to study topics in the areas of interpersonal relationships, emotion regulation, and health behaviors. I also have years of experience coordinating and conducting complex experimental, longitudinal, online, and in-lab studies with a variety of participants and populations.
