Hi, I'm Rachael and I am currently a sophomore at Purdue University studying Biomedical Engineering. I am passionate about leveraging my skills in engineering to make a meaningful in the healthcare industry. I’m the type of person who enters each room with optimism and excitement for experiencing something new! I am driven by the desire to meet new people and build meaningful connections through intimate conversations. I enjoy creating a welcoming environment for all to ensure that everyone feels seen and heard. Knowing this about myself, I find that I work best in an environment where others are passionate about their work and strive for excellence. I find that relating to others and expressing ideas through clear communication is the best way to proceed, no matter the task at hand. With a clear goal ahead of me, and people who are willing to reach it too, I find I can do anything I put my heart to.My time here at Purdue has been full of experiences that compliment my previous skills! I have explored the design process with different teams of my peers, dived into different programs, such as Excel, MATLAB, Vocareum, and Fusion 360 to enhance engineering practices, and been apart of the greater Purdue community by getting involved in the university's biggest philanthropic organization, Dance Marathon, to raise money and advocate for kids health across the nation. Given these these experiences, I can't wait to have the opportunity to make an impact out in industry!
