As a coach for the EngagED programme, my goal is to help teachers develop a deeper understanding of 21st century teaching & learning that result in enhanced literacy outcomes.

As project coordinator, my role was to oversee the planning and delivery of Speech & Drama Workshops in entirety leading to the setting up of Drama clubs in 20 under-performing primary schools impacting 1200 students and 120 teachers across 4 states in Malaysia under the Ministry of Education's Highly Immersive Programme to boost English language proficiency.

As project manager, my key responsibility was to plan, strategize, and execute Chumbaka’s Maker Mobile project - a travelling maker space intended to visit schools in each state in Peninsular Malaysia. Through this project, we engaged 900 students from 30 schools all over Peninsular Malaysia to tinker and play with the latest technology, to code, and to make things.

Taught Mathematics (Form 1, 2 & 5), English (Form 1, 2, 3 & 5), Moral (Form 1 & 2), and Civics (Form 3), Physical Education (Form 2)Access-Initiated a postcard exchange program between students and Teach for Malaysia staff members to give students real-world experiences of English usage. -Sent students with leadership potential for programmes - 4 students (Spark Camp, 2014), 10 students (RHB SEED Leadership Camp, 2015), 40 students (AirAsia Field Trip, 2016), and14 students (Inspire SEA V, 2016).-Fundraised RM 1900+ to set up the first English Language based club in school - a Drama Club with external trainers to encourage non-academic participation resulting in an initial 75 student enrolment. The students went on a learning trip at the end of the year and watched MUDKL.Affect-Tackled motivation in an aspiring Form 2 class by building a physical tracker to allow students to track values, effort and achievement.-Restructured the editorial board from a teacher-led board with 7 student helpers to a 20 person student-led team through student mentoring as Editor in Chief.

Taught an average of 16-20 hours of primary English classes to second language learners as part of an experimental program – intensive English as a second language (iESL).-Headed a meeting with other teachers in the program to revise and propose refinement in the curriculum resulting in the graduation of all students into mainstream English classes.-Planned and executed structured training including classroom management and pedagogical practices to two interns for 2 months which resulted in structured classes and effective student learning.

As an English major, my minor was journalism and I dabbled in writing for a bit. I secured an internship at The Star Publications'​ food portal, Kuali in 2012 and wrote book reviews, event write-ups, food reviews, research articles and opinion pieces.
