Experience includes elementary teacher, TV show creator, curriculum writer, and trainer of educators, parents, and students. I’m committed to making a significant difference for children to become effective communicators, more able to regulate their behavior and to learn to ride the waves of their emotions. I've spent my career focused on developing programs to help parents and teachers to foster and support emotional development in children of all backgrounds. I've created reading and television programs, training manuals, and wrote numerous children’s books as part of these programs. My work is evidence based and supports child development. I have an extensive international background which has broadened my thinking and had a major influence on me and my work. I have incorporated stress reduction and management, wellness, and mindfulness techniques in my work with parents, teachers, and students.
