The NAPO board Secretary is a member of the Executive Committee and reports to the President. Duties are to record, prepare, distribute and maintain minutes of the chapter Board of Directors meetings and chapter meetings. The secretary also leads a yearly review of the Policies & Procedures document and maintains chapter historical records and operations documents. This is a volunteer position.

Friends of the Children is a non-profit that provides long-term, consistent mentoring to marginalized youth. As Program Director, I was responsible for ensuring quality service to over 450 youth in the Portland Metro area, along with supervising the Education Manager, Child Services Manager and Programming Manager. Other roles included:-Supporting and monitoring youth progress meeting intermediate / long term goals within the program-Evaluated and improved youth outcomes, including education-Increased the number of youth served through new partnerships-Responsible for driving vision and direction into the organization-Constantly use problem-solving and creative solutions to handle challenges

As program manager, my primary role was to ensure quality relationships between Friends (salaried, professional mentors) and youth. I supervised and supported six Team Leaders in managing teams to youth outcomes. I was also responsible for developing new programming to meet the needs of youth, while managing growth and number of youth served.

As team leader, I supervised 6-12 "Friends" (salaried, professional mentors), managed them to best meet the needs of individual youth. I also provided one-on-one relationships to 3-6 program youth.

The role of Friend is a salaried, professional mentor. As a Friend, I provided consistent 1:1 relationships with 8-10 youth, focusing on advocacy, education and specific activities to engage and support each child.
