I ran a department with a multimillion dollar sales force. I oversaw the purchasing, staging and delivery of 2.5 million dollars of both special order and stock product. I insured my team was trained, that we were operating in accordance with ever-changing corporate policies, and above all focused on a level of customer service that continued to drive sales. I ran a department with 10,000 sku's. I made hiring decisions, oversaw scheduling, did performance reviews. I worked with corporate merchants to customize the product mix to the local market resulting in a 10% comp in the most profitable class in the department. I oversaw inventory and a .4% drop in inventory shrink,

After running the front end at a smaller store I was offered the position to manage the front end in the largest Home Depot in the Southwest Division. I had a staff of up to 45 that I hired, trained, scheduled and promoted. The service metrics while I was supervisor were consistently above company goals and I was called on to train recently promoted peers across the district.

Awesome Math is summer program for building Americas next generation of problem solvers. Awesome Math is a three week summer program that challenges talented highschool math students to expand their breadth and depth of understanding in mathematics. These are truely awesome kids to watch! For Awesome Math I worked as a fund raiser and grant writer. I also assisted in the running of the camps. This involved registration, organizing activities, being a parent liason, administrative support for the professors, overseeing the camp councilors and working with the host universities.
