Others may see an office as a restrictive environment , especially if they are made for a more hands on job, but for me it is where I shine. Here, at Alpha Access Ltd, my attention to detail and strict time adherence allows me to support the company in managing things from potential job prospects, to getting invoices paid and everything in between. Don't worry, I won't bore you with the tiny details! I joined Alpha Access at a time in my professional career where I was searching for something more. I had exhausted all the possible potential from my current employment at that time, and felt I could better support another business with my skill set. It is at Alpha Access Ltd that I found my newest challenge. Never had I anticipated I would be working within the abseiling industry, but I will be forever grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me. I have been able to help improve productivity and efficiency within the business by implementing new ways of working, and how we, as a company, communicate with our clients.I had previously worked as Shift Manager at Lidl, where I had been directing a team of 15-20 employees on a day to day basis. My time at Lidl allowed me to really hone in on my confidence and assertiveness and had given me the space to grow as an individual. The unpredictability of the role itself tested my capabilities in unexpected situations. Although I would never deny that the role itself had been stressful, it had brought satisfaction to me, especially when I had overcome the impossible...repeatedly.Before I embarked on my journey with Lidl, I had been working as an order processor at Solopress. It was between here and my first office based role at Thomas Cook, that I found my niche. While at Solopress, I had been responsible for reviewing in coming artwork for upcoming orders and with the company being one of the largest printing firms in Essex, there was no end to the learning opportunities. But that did not stop me from constantly looking at new ways to improve the company's turnover and profit. I had dedicated my time to reviewing how each department operated. I looked at how customer complaints were handled, how did the company solve potential issues? Could we prevent issues from happening? Turns out we could. I gave a suggestive idea to have a simple note system in place on each order. I presented my case, backed with evidence showing how one small change could save the company thousands. Innovative. A word used so often, it has become repetitive. I prefer to use words like: Inventive, Visionary and Pioneering.
