As Campaign Manager for Born Green Generation, I am tasked with developing and leading the implementation of an effective campaign strategy for the Born Green Generation initiative to engage various audiences and ensure maximum impact over the next three years of the project. I work closely with the BGG Project Manager and Director of Programmes, as well as the Comms Team to ensure deliverables are met. I am also responsible for leading the scale-up of the EU-wide #plasticfreehealthcare campaign, which launched in 2023, as well as supporting the wider Circular Healthcare Team in their efforts to drive political engagement and advocacy in our missions. Previously I was Sustainable Communities Manager for CSH, where I nurtured communities of practice, brought together by common goals to improve the environmental sustainability of health systems.As BDC Communications and Engagement Coordinator at the University of Bristol, I line-managed the PGR Hub Assistant, delivered the BDC newsletter (a key element of our comms strategy), managed social campaigns, coordinated events and activities for the PGR community, and more.As PGR Buddying Scheme Manager, I developed and delivered PGR Circles - connecting PGRs virtually to build communities across the University, beyond research groups/schools. Helping to sustain wellbeing and address non-academic student provision.As Green Labs Project Officer, I was responsible for LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) 2020, we achieved 100% accreditation in all labs across the University, making the University of Bristol the first in the world to achieve this green sustainability goal.As a Research Technician in Earth Sciences, responsible for several analytical methods:- Trace metal detection via ICP-MS- Methodologies for particulate water sampling- Column chemistry- Pb-210 dating- Interpretation and analysis of results- Scientific report writingI have a research Masters in Marine biogeochemistry. This ties directly into an ERC-funded project; aiming to further our understanding of rising polar temperatures and concerns about sea-ice and glacier retreat on global oceans and climate. Some of my interests include; Environmental change and human behavior, climate change mitigation in vulnerable geographical areas/populations, sustainability and the environment, sustainable food systems, and sustainable health care systems.I will continue educating myself to ensure I remain engaged with and understand the environmental/sustainability sectors, to actively contribute to a healthy global future.
