I teach K-12 Art for Meade Schools. I'm responsible for 221 students. I teach them about the visual arts and hopefully foster an appreciation for fine arts. I use the Kansas Standards for the visual arts and give students to opportunity express themselves in a variety of media.

I facilitated learning by explaining art stations and current craft projects. I also have taught the basic elements of art in Mulvane's after school programs at Lowman Hill Elementary. My responsibilities include preparing, carting and teaching art projects to fourteen children from the ages of six to nine. This past year I have continued outreach teaching for the Mulvane Art Museum in preschools in the surrounding areas. Teaching this age has deepened my desire to create quality lessons in a clear way--every child can learn, but they may not learn in the same way or at the same rate as other children.

I was responsible for taking food orders, sometimes also making the food. I also was responsible to clean dishes and run the cash register when customers left.
