Based at the Canberra Hospital in the Adult Acute Mental Health Service Allied Health Team, I worked across three mental health units providing psychological assessment and (individual and group) intervention to people during their psychiatric admission. I also worked closely with the multidisciplinary team, families and carers, and relevant stakeholders to support an individual's ongoing access to appropriate community mental health services upon discharge.

I completed my psychology internship in public mental health. I provided comprehensive mental health assessment and a range of psychological interventions to individuals presenting with complex moderate to severe mental health problems. My role also involved ongoing assessment and management of mood, mental state and risk, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings, completing referrals and supporting stakeholder engagement.
