National nonprofit focused on supporting Military and Veteran Caregivers• Tapped by Leadership to take on additional oversight of the Foundation’s Direct Support Programs: Respite Relief and Financial Wellness. Supervise 2 staff members, including a Data Manager. Oversee adoption of agency wide KPIs and the creation of data management dashboards in Salesforce.• Helped secure Foundation’s largest gift on record: $5M from the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation• Successfully established the Campaign for Inclusive Care, a joint initiative with Veteran’s Affairs (VA) to implement a system-wide approach to caregiver inclusion. • Wrote proposal for (and received) the initial $750K grant from USAA. -Designed program to include formative research from Duke University and UT Health San Antonio with the ambitious goal of creating systemic change within the VA, the largest integrated healthcare provider in the US. (Published articles in peer-reviewed journals included below.) -Led development of a 4-part curriculum (Academy for Inclusive Care) on how medical staff can practice inclusive care. The course is nationally accessible, is hosted on TRAIN and through the VA’s online LMS. To date, more than 1,000 individuals have completed the 4-module training.• Developed and oversee the implementation of Foundation’s organizational strategic plan. • Partner with RAND Corporation, Mathematica, Duke University, and UT Health San Antonio for research.• Serve as a Key Member of several committees / boards, including the National Academy of Science’s TBI Forum; the NIH study on TBI (CAGE-BH); and a VA-funded Gun Safety Project through Tulane University.
