I worked as Key Stage 2 team leader, as well as Year 3 class teacher. My responsibilities included conducting appraisals and observations of teachers across Key Stage 2. Supporting teachers and teaching assistants with their planning and professional development. In addition to this, I organise Key Stage 2 excursions and help facilitate school performances. As a Year 3 teacher I planned and delivered engaging lessons that meet the British Curriculum and challenge pupils of all abilities. I assessed pupils and monitor progress, as well as creating strong relationships with both pupils and parents. Working in a multicultural school, most pupils I teach are learning English as an additional language. Furthermore, I wrote and administered entrance exams for Key Stage 2 pupils wishing to join our school.

As a Year 3 teacher I would plan and deliver well-structured lessons, which engaged and motivated students. I was responsible for assessing pupils, monitoring their progress and analysing appropriate data. Alongside this, I delivered music extra curricular activities. Within my class, I worked with pupils with special educational needs, therefore I leased with SEN coordinator, parents and other medical professionals to create IEP's each term for these pupils. I also managed a team of support staff, creating timetables, planning them into lesson where their strengths were utilized and supporting their professional development. During this year, I underwent level 2 autism training; in addition to this I completed safer handling training.

I worked with pupils from a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds and developed a range of strategies working with pupils with English as an additional language. I was also involved in monitoring and assessing pupil progress. I also delivered cookery club to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Throughout this year, I taught a maths inclusion group, where the pupils made outstanding accelerated progress.During this year, I underwent Pie Corbett’s ‘Talk for Write’ training.

As well as, delivering music workshops and being actively involved in orchestral rehearsals. I worked with pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2.
