About Rachael Thacker

I love a challenge and using my varied skill set to get stuck in and get things done. I am a great connector, networker, organiser, effective communicator, and build strong relationships. My career has taken me as far north as Prince Rupert in Canada and as far south as Lorenville in Aotearoa New Zealand. From organising a simple sausage sizzle to a large corporate dinner on the lawn of the Australian High Commission in India to multi day conferences and expos around the world. I have worked across a range of industries including primary industry, education, finance, construction, not for profit, and government. Integrity, enthusiasm, innovation and a drive for continued success and personal development underpins the approach I have to my career.I have recently returned to my home town of Ōtautahi Christchurch after living in our fabulous capital city Pōneke Wellington for 8 years. It is exciting to see a renewed vibrancy in our largest southern city following the 2011 earthquakes, I can't wait to explore all that it has to offer. I feel privileged to work at the Ministry for Primary Industries where I am able to contribute to our thriving food and fibre sector in a positive way.I love to collaborate, share ideas and learn from others so get in touch for a virtual or in person coffee.

Listed skills include Event Management, Management, Marketing, Marketing Communications, and 20 others.
