As an educator throughout the entirety of her career, Rachael understood that when learning is fun and engaging people retain the information more effectively; resulting in a confidence to be able to utilise these skills successfully. When approached by her sister through a simple text message with the idea to start a first aid training company, Rachael immediately saw the necessity of this, and made the move to Melbourne to make Hero HQ a reality. This move would see them become the youngest women in Australia to own a registered training organisation.Hero Headquarters is an organisation built from an industry need and has quickly grown to become one of the nation’s leading providers of first aid. This is due to the innovative and progressive nature of business operations, a unique approach to first aid education, and the team’s collective drive to fulfil the company’s vision and mission. As a mother and educator of children, Rachael has always felt there was a lack of information available to parents regarding the treatment of common childhood emergencies.Tiny Hearts First Aid started as a side project for the sisters, and has quickly grown to become a necessary service for new and expecting parents. The vision for Tiny Hearts First Aid is to create a proactive parent tribe of parents who are empowered with the knowledge and skills of first aid, and who are confident to act quickly and effectively in any medical emergency. Both the business and Rachael herself have taken out numerous awards celebrating their achievements. In 2014 the Hero Headquarters (trading as Priority CPR) was awarded New Business of The Year at the Casey Cardinia Business Awards. Most recently, the business took out another award at the Casey Cardinia Business Awards in the sector of Health, Education and Wellbeing. Shortly after this win, the sisters as a pair took out the Young Female Entrepreneur of the year award at the Female Entrepreneur Awards.
