LaunchPad is a leadership development scheme that recognises future leaders and provides the tools needed to enhance the skills that students already have. This scheme is only available to 20 students in the University, and required in-depth assessment in order to be able to join.

I have coordinated an international trip on behalf of the University of Central Lancashire, this was part of the LaunchPad leadership development programme.Due to my recognised ability to adapt to challenging situations, I was elected to organise and manage an overseas visit on behalf of Lancashire Business School .This project allowed me to to develop my skills as a leader, and involved:• Communication and teamwork skills which included active listening, questioning skills, the need to compromise, generate ideas, and manage concerns and issues with the project.• Delivering a solo pitch to Dean of School to negotiate funding for the team to visit the overseas destination.• Producing a persuasive and directive written report demonstrating how the visit would benefit students and University through my enthusiasm and ambition.• Directing the team to meet the project deadlines showing my ability to work under pressure and sustain organisation through difficult situations
