As a BOQ co-franchisee, I provided leadership to 14 employees, with a focus on driving business development, improving process efficiency and providing a consistent customer experience. In addition, I set the vision and direction for all marketing activities, creating and managing advertising campaigns, customer acquisition and retention initiatives and the build of a CRM to standardise the customer on-boarding process and service experience. Throughout this period, I also managed all financial functions of the business, including P&L, payroll, accounts payable, compliance and regulatory checks.

During this time, I partnered with executives and business owners as an IT consultant and proxy CIO, conducting deep dives to understand, plan for and improve business performance through technology. Key aspects included developing business continuity plans and data policies in line with changing regulations (e.g. cybersecurity, data privacy, IP) and driving the adoption of emerging digital solutions across business operations. Engaged by Ocean Tyres as CIO to lead a technology audit, appoint a technology partner and project manage installation of new systems and software with minimal downtime across the IT environment;Appointed by GTC Financial to develop a technology plan building competitive advantage and enabling a virtual workforce, appointing a new technology partner to stabilise the IT environment and resolve pain points experienced with legacy systems.
