Currently I am working as a Conservation Associate - Botanist with the Michigan State University non-profit organization Michigan Natural Features Inventory. My projects change yearly and seasonally. Some of my current projects include updating the status and population assessment of the federally threatened dwarf lake iris (Iris lacustris), evaluating the effects of invasive Phragmites management in Saginaw Bay, and assessing the impacts of the invasive European Frog-bit on multiple-taxa.Over ten years of education experiences in many natural science subjects, including environmental health & ecology, outdoor science, and introductory college biology to a variety of audiences. Developed lesson plans, presentations, informational materials, and worked in different medias to distribute messages.
