Developed operations framework for Aspire Energy (a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation) from the ground up. This required assisting with NAESB and credit setups for various natural gas marketers, executing pipeline balancing and capacity agreements, establishing new risk controls to ensure compliance, and creating metrics to track performance.Executed daily and long-term trades on ICE Chat platform as well as performed corresponding pipeline scheduling duties in order to manage Aspire’s position on the Columbia Gas Transmission, Dominion Energy of Ohio, and Nexus Gas Transmission interstate pipelines.Handled trade confirmation and invoicing functions for all Aspire Energy executed natural gas trades.Managed Aspire’s yearly RFP supply process from start to finish including preparation of proposal, circulation to potential bidders, detailed cost analysis of bids, and award/confirmation of contract. Through RFP negotiations, Aspire was able to achieve significant cost savings for supply/balancing for the 2020 supply year.Optimized Aspire’s pipeline assets through various trading and capacity release strategies resulting in material additional revenue for Aspire during 2020. Acted as lead project manager on an initiative to create an alternative solution to Chesapeake’s existing risk management system. This led to the creation of an in-house Market Price Database and newly created processes for deal capture, trade confirmation, and invoicing.

Monitored Exelon’s counterparty exposure and swap notional amounts to ensure that Exelon was not classified as a Major Swap Participant or Swap Dealer under Dodd Frank.Coordinated with Legal, IT, and Wholesale Operations as a key member of the Dodd Frank Historical Reporting Taskforce. Reported over 30,000 historical swaps to the ICE Trade Vault Swap Data Repository during the course of this one-year project.Monitored the Exelon Generation Buy/Sell and Net Zero reports to ensure traders were not engaging in wash trades, buy/sells, or Shipper Must Have Title issues.
