This internship is centered around restoration field work for the degraded Palouse Prairie at multiple sites throughout Pullman, WA. I have gained a multitude of field experience including identification of native and invasive species, native seed collection, invasive species removal, and planting as well as maintaining native plant species. This internship has also provided me with grant writing experience, social media content and community outreach techniques, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) training, and the opportunity to work with a diverse, intelligent, and proactive group of people all dedicated to the conservation of the environment.

Contributed over 300 hours to educate a group of 500 student athletes of many different backgrounds, ages, and majors to thrive in their educational life, with my passion in helping them succeed specifically in their STEM related classes. Was recognized by the Student Athlete Tutor Coordinator as a key contributor to the program. For my continued exceptional performance and reliability, I was assigned special tasks including being chosen as one of two tutors given broader responsibility in the education of STEM subjects for all student athletes.

Leader of a team of 60+ lifeguards. Assigned roles and tasks to team members. Promoted a welcoming and fun culture for every patron attending the park while also maintaining safety. Utilized my first aid and lifeguard training on swimmers in distress numerous times by performing life-saving maneuvers.
