Rachel serves as the Operations & Business Development Manager for PTSD UK charity, bringing a wealth of experience in both the charity sector and integrative approaches to healthcare. In her role at PTSD UK, Rachel has delivered impactful presentations to national organisations such as the NHS and Hidden Disabilities, and has shared her lived experience of C-PTSD on several podcasts. In 2024, she appeared as a guest speaker at the 6th International Trauma Conference, offering a unique and personal perspective on somatic approaches to C-PTSD treatment. Rachel’s extensive background in yoga has taken her around the world, hosting retreats across Europe and Asia, managing a yoga studio in Vietnam, and facilitating retreat programs at a renowned yoga and meditation center in Cambodia. She contributed as a writer for Yogapedia for several years, and taught over 1000 hours of studio classes, workshops, retreats, and yoga festivals before transitioning into yoga therapy.As a yoga therapist, Rachel specialises in working with trauma, stress, depression, anxiety and chronic pain, but is experienced in offering tools to work with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions. Unique areas of experience include a research specialism in yoga therapy for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and delivering trauma-focused yoga therapy for refugees.
